High-definition Bluetooth transceiver

The BTA 30 Pro both receives and transmits Bluetooth thanks to the Qualcomm CSR8675 chip and Bluetooth 5.0. It supports the SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD and LDAC codecs when receiving, and SBC, aptX, aptX LL, aptX HD and LDAC when transmitting. An external gain antenna extends the range to 30 metres under normal conditions and stabilises the link from one room to another.

TV and console transmit mode

In transmit mode, the BTA 30 Pro links the digital output of a television, a CD player or a computer to Bluetooth headphones. The aptX LL format, given priority and low in latency, limits the lag between picture and sound for gaming and film. LDAC transmission remains available from an optical, coaxial or USB input.

Receive mode for your system

In receive mode, the BTA 30 Pro adds a Bluetooth input to an existing system or amplifier. The RCA line output delivers up to 3 Vrms and holds a signal-to-noise ratio of 118 dB with distortion below 0.0008 per cent. Dual connection stores two source devices and switches from one to the other.

Wired decoding and settings

Without Bluetooth, the BTA 30 Pro works as a DAC around the ESS ES9038Q2M converter: USB-C input up to 384 kHz/32-bit and DSD256, coaxial input up to 384 kHz/24-bit, optical input up to 96 kHz/24-bit. A CT7302 DSP upsamples the signals to 384 kHz. The RGB indicator shows the active codec and the FiiO Control app opens up the settings.
