The HA-L7A offers a 6.3 mm jack, a 4.4 mm balanced output and an XLR4 socket. Each delivers 1000 mW per channel into 32 ohms, at 1 kHz and 0.003 per cent distortion. The recommended impedance range runs from 32 to 600 ohms.
The USB type B input takes PCM up to 384 kHz at 32 bits and DSD up to 11.2 MHz. The coaxial input reaches 192 kHz, the optical 96 kHz, and an analogue RCA input rounds things off. A preamplifier output is available on XLR3 and on RCA.
The chassis measures 33.3 cm wide, 13.3 cm high and 18.9 cm deep, at 5.3 kg. Headphone output bandwidth covers 4 Hz to 80 kHz at -3 dB. Signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 120 dB and standby consumption drops to 0.2 W.
Conical metal feet carry the chassis. Pure Direct mode bypasses processing for the most direct playback. Six sound field modes remain on hand, from Concert Hall to Cinema, with a Straight position.
