Burson Soloist Voyager Deluxe on a desktop

Class-A, dual mono

The Soloist Voyager delivers 10 W over XLR and 5 W single-ended, entirely in Class A. Two independent amplifiers, each with its own power supply, handle the left and right channels separately: crosstalk drops and the soundstage widens. The high output current holds headphones from 16 to 300 ohms without compressing transients.

Socketed V7 Vivid Pro opamp modules

V7 opamps, Deluxe edition

The Deluxe edition carries six discrete V7 Vivid Pro opamps, socketed rather than soldered. They swap by hand to tune the sound signature, from neutral to fuller-bodied. This discrete architecture, developed by Burson over twenty years, replaces the integrated circuits usual at this price.

Cool Case chassis in anthracite aluminium and copper gold

Silent Power and Cool Case

The second-generation Silent Power regulators (SP2) lower power-supply noise to about 200 times below a standard regulator, clearing a black background behind the music. The Cool Case chassis dissipates the 80 W of idle current without a fan, so without mechanical noise. The finish combines anthracite-grey aluminium and copper gold.

MUSES control and listening modes

Two MUSES72320 chips, one per channel, manage volume and balance with a 112 dB dynamic range and 99 % stereo separation. Three crossfeed levels bring the image closer over headphones, while headphone + subwoofer mode adds the low end of a sub. XLR and RCA preamp outputs also drive active speakers or a power amplifier.
