Built-in BluOS streaming

The MDC BluOS 2i module adds BluOS network and internet streaming to a compatible NAD component. BluOS, the music management software from NAD's sister brand Bluesound, brings together music stored on the local network and streaming services. Installed inside the component, the module needs no external wires or power supply, and its ARM processor makes the experience more responsive.

Complete connection plate

The module is a card that slides into an MDC slot at the back of the host component. Its plate has an RJ45 LAN port, two USB-A sockets, a Bluetooth antenna connector and a mini-USB service port. An external USB Wi-Fi module is supplied to optimise signal strength.

Network, USB and Bluetooth

Ethernet and Wi-Fi both operate in asynchronous mode for the lowest jitter. Spotify Connect, TIDAL and TuneIn are available directly, and a USB drive or hard drive plays through the USB-A port. Built-in Bluetooth with aptX streams music from a smartphone or tablet.

Five compatible NAD components

The BluOS 2i fits the C 390DD, the Masters M12 and M32, and the Classic C 368 and C 388. It plays FLAC, ALAC and WAV files up to 24-bit/192 kHz with gapless playback, and joins a Bluesound multi-room system. On the C 368 and C 388, AirPlay 2 also allows streaming from an Apple device, with Siri.
