SABRE32 Converter

The CXN100 SE features an ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE32 converter, whose circuitry has been specifically tuned for this unit. The USB audio input and playback from a local USB drive support PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz and DSD512. UPnP support also extends up to 32-bit/768 kHz. The chassis is constructed from a combination of aluminum and steel.

Display and Preamplifier Mode

A large, high-resolution color display shows album art and playback information, complemented by a volume wheel and front-panel buttons. Preamplifier mode is activated via the StreamMagic app and transforms the device into a digital preamp, allowing it to drive a power amplifier directly.

StreamMagic Platform

The StreamMagic platform has been developed in-house by Cambridge Audio for over ten years. It supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect with MQA, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, Internet radio, AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, and Roon Ready certification. Updates are delivered over the network via 10/100 Ethernet or dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
