The DP-300F is fully automatic: the tonearm lowers onto the record, then returns to its rest by itself at the end of the side. Manual mode remains available for those who prefer to lower the arm themselves. The two speeds cover 33 1/3 and 45 rpm.
A phono preamplifier sits inside the chassis, with an output of 150 mV at 1 kHz. It therefore connects to any line input, from a soundbar to a system without a phono input. Switched off, it makes way for an external phono stage.
The turntable comes with a 5 g MM cartridge mounted on its headshell, set for a tracking force of 2.0 g. It outputs 2.5 mV at 1 kHz. Its replacement stylus is the DSN-85.
The aluminium platter is belt-driven by a DC motor, with wow and flutter of 0.10 % weighted RMS. The straight tonearm has an effective length of 221.5 mm. The DP-300F weighs 5.5 kg and comes in black or Premium Silver.
