Transrotor Artus turntable, mounting detail

Gimbal suspension

The whole deck is gimbal-mounted and can swing freely in every direction. Floor vibration is therefore cancelled before it reaches the platter, instead of being absorbed by feet. That is the trait defining the Artus, and it applies to the complete machine, not to a sub-assembly.

Three motors, one field

Three motors drive the rotating magnetic field that turns the platter. The link stays contactless, as on the maker's other FMD decks. The Konstant FMD supply is included.

Two hundred and twenty kilos

55 cm each way, 120 high, 220 kg. This is not a deck to set on furniture: it occupies the floor, and the first thing to check is that the floor carries it. Transrotor states that installation is done by its dealers; here, our own team handles it.

A resonance-optimised base

The arm base is resonance-optimised and continuously adjustable. Chassis and platter pair aluminium with acrylic, the record clamp is chrome. The deck arrives without arm or cartridge; assembly happens on site, by our team.
