Transrotor Tourbillon set with MC Tamino cartridge

The MC Tamino

The SET 2 takes the Tourbillon and its TRA 9 arm, and fits an MC Tamino in place of the SET 1's MC Figaro. The cartridge is the only point that changes between the two sets. The Tamino sits markedly higher in the Transrotor range.

Three drives in the block

The lower aluminium block houses three drives, and their number alone states the design's stance. The platter rests on the Free Magnet Drive: rotation reaches it through magnets, with no mechanical link to the source of torque. The Konstant FMD runs the whole and comes with the deck.

The name and the idea

Transrotor borrows the name from the watchmakers' tourbillon movements and draws the analogy itself. It bears on one precise idea: complexity earns its place only if it serves the regularity of rotation. Every part of the deck holds its place for that reason, not for the look.

Forty-three kilos, MC loading

52 cm square, 30 high, 43 kg, up to three arms, matching stand optional. The MC Tamino calls for an MC phono input or a step-up transformer, with a loading impedance chosen for it. Fitting, loading, tracking force and alignment are done in our Geneva workshop.
