Transrotor Tourbillon set with arm and cartridge

The Tourbillon equipped

This set completes the Tourbillon with a TRA 9 arm and an MC Figaro cartridge. As on every Free Magnet Drive deck, the Konstant FMD comes with the turntable and is not part of the addition. The set bears on the arm and the cartridge.

Eight centimetres of acrylic

The main platter is acrylic, eight centimetres thick, doubled underneath by a weighted flywheel. The two masses turn together and smooth out what the motor might let through. Acrylic also has an impedance close to that of the record laid on it.

One arm of three

The deck can carry up to three arms; the TRA 9 takes one and leaves the other positions free. Its height is set by two screws lifting the arm parallel to itself, without touching azimuth. Antiskating is magnetic, adjusted through a fine thread, central mark at 1.8 grams.

External aluminium switch beside the chassis

Forty-three kilos, set up

52 cm square, 30 high, 43 kg. Starting goes through a large external aluminium switch, separate from the chassis. The MC Figaro needs an MC phono input; loading, tracking force, antiskating and alignment are set in our Geneva workshop.
