Transrotor Bellini set with TRA Studio arm

Transrotor end to end

This SET 3 leaves Rega for full Transrotor: TRA Studio arm, MC Merlo Reference cartridge, Konstant Reference M-1 supply. The mechanical chain is then drawn by a single house, from motor to stylus. This is the Bellini's top version.

The TRA Studio arm

The TRA Studio sets its height by two screws lifting the arm parallel to itself, without tilting the tube or shifting azimuth. Its magnetic antiskating adjusts through a fine thread, central mark at 1.8 grams. Internal wiring and connecting cable come from van den Hul.

Konstant Reference supply with polished front

The Konstant Reference M-1

The Konstant Reference M-1 is meant for single-motor Transrotor decks. Transrotor reports markedly better motor control and speed stability for the series, at 33 and 45 rpm with fine adjustment. The case measures about 17.6 by 17 cm, 7 high.

Moving-coil cartridge in the playing position

The cartridge loading

The MC Merlo Reference is a moving-coil cartridge whose output calls for an MC phono input or a step-up transformer. Loading impedance is set with the rest: badly chosen, it costs more than the cartridge gains. Fitting and setup in our Geneva workshop.
