This SET 2 differs from the SET 1 in its arm: a Rega RB3000 instead of the RB880. Rega states tolerances so tight that no glue enters the construction, and a hand-polished tube to bring mass to a minimum. The MC Cantare cartridge and the Konstant Eins stay the same.
The absence of glue is not a turn of phrase: it assumes each part fits mechanically onto the next, with no play to fill. Rega also redrew the tube's mass distribution to cut stress and resonance. A light, precision-machined vertical bearing completes the assembly.
The Bellini's acrylic glass chassis rests on three solid aluminium columns. Nothing shuts the mechanism inside a box, and the TMD bearing stays visible under the platter. That bearing is standard on this deck.
The Konstant Eins selects 33 or 45 rpm with fine adjustment per speed, in a solid aluminium case of about 1.5 kg. The platter mat is chosen in black or white. Cartridge loading, tracking force and antiskating are set in our Geneva workshop.
