In-house arm and supply

This SET 3 drops the Rega parts for Transrotor throughout: TRA 9 arm, MC Figaro cartridge, Konstant Reference M-1 supply, aluminium clamp. The maker thus designs the whole mechanical chain, from motor to stylus tip. This is the top of the ZET 3 series.

The TRA 9 arm

On the TRA 9, height is set by two screws lifting the arm parallel to itself, without tilting the tube. Antiskating is magnetic, adjusted through a fine thread, with a central mark at 1.8 grams. The arm comes in 232.8 and 308.2 mm, nine and twelve inches.

Konstant Reference supply and its front panel

The Konstant Reference M-1

The Konstant Reference M-1 is meant for single-motor Transrotor decks. Transrotor reports markedly better motor control and speed stability for this series than for the Konstant Eins, with 33 and 45 rpm and fine adjustment. The case measures about 17.6 by 17 cm.

Sandwich chassis

The ZET 3's chassis stacks acrylic, aluminium and acrylic. The two materials do not vibrate at the same frequencies, so each damps what the other lets through. The deck is 45 by 40 cm, 23 high, 34 kg; full setup in our Geneva workshop.
