Transrotor ZET 1 set with separate supply

Moving to moving coil

This SET 2 fits the ZET 1 with a Rega RB880 arm, an MC Cantare cartridge, the Konstant Eins supply and an aluminium clamp. Against the SET 1, three things change at once: the arm, the cartridge type and motor control. Connection then calls for an MC phono input.

The Rega RB880 arm

The RB880 uses a CAD-designed tube to cut stress and resonance, on a low-mass vertical bearing. Its integrated phono cable uses a two-part connector assembly, keeping contacts on the signal path down. Mounting distance 222 mm.

Ten kilos of platter

The ZET 1's aluminium platter weighs about ten kilos. At this inertia the motor's irregularities no longer show up in rotational speed. The Konstant Eins adds on top a 33 or 45 rpm selection with fine adjustment per speed.

Moving-coil cartridge in the playing position

Loading the MC cartridge

The MC Cantare is a moving-coil cartridge, whose output sits well below an MM's. It needs an MC phono input, or a step-up transformer ahead of an MM input, and a matched loading impedance. That setting is made with the rest in our Geneva workshop.
