Transrotor Dark Star Reference set, equipped

The Reference equipped

This set starts from the Dark Star Reference, whose base plate is doubled, and adds a Rega RB330 arm, an MM Uccello cartridge and a POM clamp. The doubled plane puts more mass and stiffness against vibration rising from the support. There is no separate Konstant supply in this SET.

Thirty kilos under the arm

46 cm wide, 34 deep, 22 high, 30 kg. The six kilos and five centimetres between the Reference and the Dark Star come almost entirely from the doubled plane. Check what the furniture carries: at this mass it is the limiting part of the installation.

RB330 arm and MM cartridge

The RB330 pairs a revised bearing housing with a tube whose mass distribution moves resonances, and a built-in arm clip. The Uccello cartridge is moving-magnet: it drives an MM phono input directly, with no extra stage. Its stylus can be replaced when the time comes.

POM throughout

Chassis, platter and clamp are polyoxymethylene, the last with brass. The platter turns in a bearing block developed for it. Full setup, tracking force and antiskating included, is done in our Geneva workshop before shipping.
