Transrotor MAX 9 Zoll set with arm and cartridge fitted

A set ready to play

This set brings together the 9-inch MAX deck, a Rega RB330 arm, an MM Uccello cartridge, an aluminium clamp and the Konstant Eins power supply. The four parts are chosen to work together, which removes the question of arm compatibility and of cartridge loading. Full setup is done in the workshop before delivery.

The Rega RB330 arm

The RB330 was drawn in 3D CAD and CAM, with a new bearing housing and a tube whose mass distribution moves resonance points aside. Its effective mass sits around eleven grams, mounting distance 222 mm. The arm clip is built in and the phono cable uses Neutrik connectors.

A moving-magnet cartridge

The Uccello cartridge is a moving-magnet type. It puts out a level high enough for any standard phono input, with no extra preamplifier or step-up transformer. Its stylus is replaceable, which is not the case with most MC cartridges.

Cylindrical polished aluminium power supply

The Konstant Eins supply

The Konstant Eins delivers two phases of 18 volts AC and selects 33 or 45 rpm, with separate fine adjustment for each. The case is hand-polished solid aluminium, about 1.5 kg for 85 mm high and 110 in diameter. Transrotor recommends it for the MAX and for single-motor decks.
