Arm height adjusts during playback, with the record turning. The point shows on a collection mixing pressings of different thickness: vertical tracking angle is corrected without stopping the record or resetting cold. Distance to the spindle also adjusts continuously.
The deck takes up to three tonearms. Transrotor states the intent plainly: a good deck should not limit what is fitted to it, neither arms nor cartridges nor good pressings. The Alto leaves the headroom rather than dictating it.
The drive can take up to three motors, spaced around the platter. Traction is then spread over several points instead of one, which cuts the side load on the spindle. The Konstant EINS supply is included; the range's higher supplies are compatible.
Hand-polished aluminium chassis, aluminium-and-acrylic platter, TMD bearing as standard. The bearing's magnetic coupling breaks the mechanical link between motor and platter. The deck arrives without arm or cartridge, fitted and aligned at our Geneva workshop.
