Three-layer chassis seen in profile

A sandwich chassis

The chassis stacks three layers: acrylic, aluminium, acrylic. The two materials do not vibrate at the same frequencies, so each damps what the other lets through. It is the clearest construction difference from the ZET 1, whose chassis is one piece.

Twelve kilos on the spindle

The platter weighs twelve kilos, two more than the ZET 1's. Transrotor states the reasoning plainly: on a vinyl record, heavier and more finely machined parts raise playback precision. The mass is not there for the number, it is there for stability.

Two chassis finishes, black and light

Two finishes to choose

The chassis comes in black and in gloss white, chosen from the list above. Construction and mechanics are identical across finishes. A second arm base remains possible, in nine or twelve inches.

Thirty-four kilos

45 cm wide, 40 deep, 23 high, 34 kg. Ten kilos more than the ZET 1 for the same footprint, nearly all of it in the platter and the sandwich chassis. A dedicated stand is available as an option from Transrotor.
