Ten-inch TP 92 tonearm

The TD 907 ships with the ten-inch version of the TP 92 arm, without a cartridge. Its cold-compacted special aluminium tube was analysed with a laser vibrometer and then damped where it mattered, and its aluminium headshell keeps the cartridge's centre of gravity under the arm axis. Overhang, azimuth and VTA height are adjustable, with anti-skating applied without contact by two ferrite magnets. The 300-millimetre platter, polished aluminium in three parts, weighs 6.5 kilos and takes an acrylic insert that damps the record's groove area.

Ten-step pneumatic damping

Under the chassis, a polypropylene cone membrane is fixed to the platter bearing and decoupled from the triCom base by a viscose-propylene layer. The resulting air chamber opens onto ten ports that a slider opens or closes, which sets the damping in ten steps. The feet, triCom filled with viscoelastic foam, are adjustable. The underside photograph shows a deck in zebrano; this reference ships in anthracite.

RCA and XLR outputs

The rear panel carries an RCA output, a balanced XLR output and a ground terminal. Standard wiring runs from the arm's mini 5-pin DIN to the RCA or XLR sockets, with a directly soldered version offered as an option. The 33 and 45 rpm speeds are switched electronically, and cable capacitance is 140 picofarads.

Separate external power supply

The power supply is a separate box, kept away from the chassis and its suspended subchassis. It connects to the mains at 230 or 115 volts and delivers to the turntable the 24 volts DC its rear socket expects. The whole weighs 12 kilos.
