The base is carved in a hard walnut of local origin, chosen for its elasticity, resistance and high density. Its shape resumes the catenary curve, which adds constant mass rigidity. Protective varnishes used on walnut turners are environmentally friendly.
The 33 mm tray is machined in an extra dense pom, thickness that increases inertia and regularizes rotation. The axis assembly and bearing ring is made with very tight tolerances, with a 5 mm tungsten ball. The polished hungry pulley allows a quieter scroll of the belt.
The wooden base rests on three anodized aluminum, curved and height-adjustable aluminum tips. This setting makes it possible to make up for a piece of furniture that is not level without stalling the plate. A transparent hinged acrylic hood is provided.
The Giglio comes with the PST-1 external inductive power supply, which removes the transformer out of the chassis. Dedicated microcontroller electronics reduces the vibrations of the 12 V synchronous motor and gives it torque. The fine speed adjustment is stored for 0.1% crying and a background noise of -78 dB.
