Power and linearity

The Edge W delivers 100 W RMS under 8 ohms and 200 W RMS under 4 ohms. The distortion remains from 0.002% to 1 kHz at nominal power over 8 ohms, and from 0.02% over the entire band 20 Hz - 20 kHz. The frequency response extends less than 3 Hz to more than 80 kHz at more or less 1 dB.

Fourteen components

The signal path has only fourteen hand-selected components. The signal-to-noise ratio reaches 113 dB at full power and 93 dB for 1 W under 8 ohms. The crosstalk remains below -100 dB to 1 kHz.

Inputs and sensitivity

The input stage accepts a symmetrical link and two asymmetrical inputs, all under a 47 kilo-ohm impedance. The input sensitivity is 1.09 VRMS on asymmetric inputs A1 and A2. Outputs include speaker terminals and connecting loop.

Consumption and format

The maximum consumption reaches 1000 W, and the waking descends below 0.5 W. The chassis measures 460 mm wide, 405 mm deep and 150 mm in height, for a mass of 31.4 kg. The supplied Edge Link cable is used to couple the unit to the rest of the series.
