Up to 800 W per channel

The amplifier delivers 400 W into 8 ohms, 600 W into 4 ohms and 800 W into 2 ohms per channel, with both channels driven. The datasheet limits the 2-ohm power to 3 seconds because of the high current demand. Sixteen bipolar output devices per channel, in class AB, reproduce the most demanding passages.

Dual-mono design

Two independent toroidal transformers each feed one channel. Each channel therefore has its own energy source, for a channel separation of 101 dB at 100 Hz and 98 dB at 10 kHz. The complementary cascoded feedback input stage relies on eight low-noise bipolar transistors.

7-inch display and ALM

The 7-inch graphic display shows power, status and navigation through the settings. The Advanced Load Monitoring circuit watches temperature, current and voltage, and only steps in under extreme conditions. The stages connect directly to the capacitor bank, without rail fuses, and a soft turn-on limits the inrush current.

Black or Silver finishes

The amplifier comes in Black or Silver, to match the STR preamplifier. Three power on and off modes are set at the rear: trigger, manual and automatic, and combining the trigger with audio signal sensing means you no longer need to think about it. The aluminum chassis measures 43.2 cm wide, 17.2 cm high and 47 cm deep, and weighs 27.3 kg unpacked.
