Audiolab 9000P power amplifier, front view

One hundred watts per channel

The 9000P delivers 2 x 100 W into 8 ohms and 2 x 160 W into 4 ohms. Bridged, it supplies 300 W into 8 ohms on a single channel. Maximum output current reaches 15 A.

Internal layout and heat dissipation of the 9000P

CFB topology

Current feedback keeps the idle current independent of output-transistor temperature. Linearity and thermal stability stay constant at any level. Distortion measures less than 0.002% at 1 kHz.

Toroidal transformer and reservoir capacitors

320 VA power supply

A 320 VA toroidal transformer developed for this model feeds both channels. Four 15,000 uF capacitors bring total reserve to 60,000 uF. Signal-to-noise exceeds 112 dB A-weighted.

Stereo or monoblock

A switch moves the unit between stereo operation and bridged mode. Two 9000P units as monoblocks are the next step up from one. RCA and XLR inputs and a 12 V trigger handle integration with the 9000Q.
