The top of the range

This bundle pairs the MOON 861 power amplifier with the MOON 891 network player and preamplifier. It is the most ambitious configuration of the North Collection. The set weighs 83 kilos at shipping.

The 861 for power

The 861 delivers 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 600 watts into 4 ohms and 800 watts in monaural mode. Its damping factor of 900 is the highest in the collection. Its 58 kilos serve mechanical stability and heat dissipation.

The 891 for preamplification

The 891 rests on MDE-3 conversion and the M-RAY2 volume control. Its signal-to-noise ratio reaches 125 dB and its distortion falls to 0.0003 %. A 5-inch colour graphic display occupies the front panel.

Damping base and phono

The MDB damping base isolates the electronics from vibration passed on by the furniture. The built-in phono stage accepts moving-magnet as well as moving-coil cartridges, with four gain settings. The BRM-1 remote drives the system over Bluetooth.
