North Collection set in a listening room

Power and source apart

This bundle pairs the MOON 761 power amplifier with the MOON 791 network player and preamplifier. Separating the functions isolates the sensitive stages from the power stages. Both units belong to the North Collection.

The 761 for power

The 761 delivers 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 400 watts into 4 ohms, and 600 watts once switched to mono. Its damping factor reaches 800. The MDCA architecture works without global feedback, for a distortion figure of 0.001 % at 200 watts.

The 791 for preamplification

The 791 brings together six digital inputs, an HDMI ARC input, three analogue inputs and a phono stage with four gain settings. The MDE-2 conversion and the M-VOL3 volume control work in a fully balanced construction. Bandwidth extends from 2 Hz to 200 kHz.

Phono settings and link

The phono stage is set over four gains, three capacitance values and four load resistances. Almost every cartridge on the market finds its place there. The MOONLink connection ties the two units together and the BRM-1 remote drives the set.
