The NAP 250 delivers 100 watts per channel under 8 Ω, measured at 0.1% THD + N. The exit stage works in class A / B; Two-thirds of nominal power and 1 kHz, distortion falls to 0.013%. The damping factor reaches 36 under 8 Ω and crosstalk between channels is 60 dB.
The power supply is based on the DR regulation developed by Naim, which holds the tension served on the exit stages. The NA009 power transistors are resumed of the statement. A Foucault Current Separator completes the device.
Two symmetrical inputs on XLR have a 47 kΩ impedance; An asymmetrical link remains possible at 34 kΩ via an adapter cable. The clipping occurs at 1 input VRMS. Two XLR-XLR cords and an optical automation cable accompany the unit with the Power-Line Lite power cord.
The cabinet is carved in thick aluminum plates, a selected choice at Naim To isolate the electronics of magnetic fields, temperature differences and vibrations. The heat sink prevents the rise in temperature with high levels of listening. The device measures 43.2 × 31.75 × 9.15 cm and weighs 16.8 kg. In operation, the consumption is 26 W, and descends under 0.5 W in standby.
