DALI PHANTOM E-80 in-wall speaker from the front, grille removed

Driver and Bandwidth

The PHANTOM E-80 carries an 8-inch woofer with a polypropylene cone. Response covers 49 Hz to 25 kHz at plus or minus 3 dB, and maximum output is quoted at 107 dB at one metre. The cabinet measures 295 mm across and 116 mm deep.

25 mm Soft Dome

The tweeter is a 25 mm soft dome in woven fabric. The crossover sits at 3,200 Hz, two-way. Sensitivity is 89.5 dB for 2.83 V at one metre, at a 6 ohm nominal impedance.

Cut-out and Depth

The cut-out measures 261 mm across and the speaker needs 109 mm of mounting depth. The enclosure is open at the back: DALI recommends 10 to 100 litres of volume behind it, 30 litres being the optimum.

Placement and Finish

It mounts in a ceiling or a wall, used as front, centre or surround. The speaker takes 30 to 150 W and weighs 2.5 kg with its grille. The finish is white and the cut-out template comes in the box.
