RD stands for Reduced Depth. A shallower cone and a redesigned QuickDogs frame bring the installation depth down to 92 mm.
The rest is unchanged. The pivoting aluminium dome tweeter and the die-cast chassis bass/midrange are those of the CCM663.
The speaker mounts flush into the ceiling. The grille takes the colour of the ceiling and the installation disappears.
