Bass That Vanishes Into the Wall

The IW SUB S-100 puts a 10-inch long-stroke driver in a chassis 107 mm thick. Once the magnetic grille is fitted and painted, all that is left is a rectangle flush with the wall, where a floor subwoofer would take up a corner of the room.

26 to 250 Hz

Response covers 26 to 250 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB and maximum output reaches 110 dB at one metre. Sensitivity is 84 dB: this is a passive subwoofer and it needs dedicated amplification.

Dedicated Amplification

DALI recommends the PHANTOM AMP-2500 DSP or the AMP-4750 DSP, whose correction curves are made for this subwoofer. The whole system is then driven from the rack, with no visible box in the room.

Installation

Cut-out of 615 x 370 mm, mounting depth of 102 mm, wall up to 70 mm thick. Overall 657 x 412 x 107 mm with the grille, for 17.25 kg. DALI advises two layers of plasterboard around the subwoofer.
