One Woofer and a Radiator

The S-180 pairs an 8-inch wood fibre woofer with a 10-inch passive radiator in a closed, mass-tuned enclosure. The radiator extends the bass without a port, so without air noise behind the wall. Response reaches down to 49 Hz at plus or minus 3 dB.

Hybrid Tweeter Module

A 28 mm soft dome and a 17 x 45 mm ribbon share the top of the spectrum, crossing at 2800 and 15000 Hz. The module turns within the baffle, so it can be aimed at the listening area once the speaker is in place.

Front-Channel Format

At 907 mm tall and 462 mm wide for 108 mm of depth, the S-180 covers the front channel without taking a floorstander's volume. Its 89 dB sensitivity at 6 ohms and 40 to 200 W handling keep it easy to drive.

Installation

The cut-out measures 865 x 420 mm, mounting depth is 103 mm, and wall thickness can run from 10 to 70 mm. The speaker weighs 19.5 kg with its grille. A PHANTOM OW FRAME S-180 is available for surface mounting.
