Bose Professional DM 6C recessed ceiling speaker, white grille installed

Coaxial two-way 6.5 inches

The 6.5-inch woofer and 1.25-inch tweeter share the same axis. The Dispersion Alignment system aligns the bass coverage to the tweeter's pattern, so tone does not shift as you move under the enclosure—a common flaw of offset-speaker ceiling systems. The response extends to 70 Hz at -3 dB, without DSP or external correction.

Conical coverage 145°

At 145°, this model radiates more narrowly than the 5- and 3-inch versions in the range, which open to 160° and 170°. This tighter coverage suits high ceilings: at 4 m, a wide cone reaches the walls before it reaches the ears, and intelligibility collapses. Sensitivity is 88 dB SPL/1 W/1 m, maximum level 109 dB at 1 m.

Four 100 V taps

Four transformer taps—10, 20, 40, and 80 W—meter power across the 100 V line. Bypass returns the speaker to 8 Ω, 125 W AES continuous, for zones wired in low impedance. So one ceiling can mix both modes: 80 W on the dance floor, 20 W at the bar, without changing speakers.

QuickHold mounting

Three spring arms hold 6.5 kg in a 292 mm cutout with 223 mm recessed depth. The drawn-steel back enclosure seals the volume: reproduction no longer depends on the plenum, and the floor above hears less. Perforated steel grille in black or white, removable logo.
