The 5.25-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter mount on the same axis. Dispersion Alignment aligns the bass coverage to the tweeter pattern so the upper spectrum doesn't drop off-axis. Response extends from 73 Hz to 17 kHz at -3 dB.
Coverage tightens to 160°, versus 170° for the 3-inch. The gain shows in sensitivity: 87 dB SPL/1 W/1 m, 4 dB higher than the 3-inch. At equal power, the DM5C plays four times the coverage area per unit. Maximum SPL 105 dB at 1 m.
Cutout is 250 mm, external diameter 303 mm, and 192 mm above the suspended ceiling. Three QuickHold spring arms hold 4.45 kg with no visible fasteners. The perforated-steel grille magnets to the frame in black or white, logo removable.
Four taps—6, 12, 25, and 50 W—distribute power across the 100 V line, and bypass returns the loudspeaker to 8 Ω for 60 W AES continuous. One ceiling mixes both modes: 50 W near the entrance, 12 W in the hall, same model throughout.
