The TP 92 is a cardanic tonearm following Loefgren geometry. It was developed alongside the TD 309 turntable, which gives it a studied compatibility. Its horizontal bearing, a high-precision Japanese ball bearing running on a specially developed oil, sits under the tube, level with the stylus.

The tube is cold-forged aluminium. Its resonances were analysed with a laser vibrometer, letting the designers target specific frequencies. The counterweight, decoupled by two rubber rings, also sits exactly level with the stylus.

The aluminium headshell is tightly coupled to the tube. Overhang is set by sliding the headshell along the tube or the tube in its bearing block; azimuth is corrected by rotating the tube on its axis. VTA is set by loosening the collar lock nut, and anti-skating comes from two ferrite magnets with an adjustment screw.

This OEM version is 10 inches and comes out with loose tonearm cables, to be wired directly. The shape of the headshell puts the cartridge's centre of gravity right under the tube, which keeps torsional vibration away.
