The Crosslink appears here in its balanced version, with a midnight-blue jacket and XLR connectors. Cardas describes it as warm and forgiving, without losing detail or musicality. The maker designed it for entry-level and mid-range stereo and home cinema systems.
The same pair exists in an unbalanced version, terminated in RCA. Under the PVC jacket, two 20.5 AWG conductors form a twisted pair, held in place by natural cotton filler and FEP tape. A tin-plated copper spiral shield surrounds them, for a total diameter of 7.69 mm.
Cardas terminates the RCA version of the Crosslink with the GRCM plug, whose official photo shows the internal parts. It takes Grade 2 oxygen-free copper conductors, 99.99% pure, in SPN-coated Litz strands. Their cross-sections follow the golden ratio, in the brand's cross-field geometry, under polyurethane insulation.
For the balanced version, the Crosslink page lists Cardas CE XLR plugs. The official photo shows them in male and female, with their black shell. They connect the cable to the XLR inputs and outputs of a stereo chain or a home cinema system.
