The PK-EM2 synchronises the PK-AG3 active 3D glasses with the projector over radio frequency. Unlike infrared, the RF signal does not require line of sight to the emitter. Signal dropouts and interference are reduced accordingly.
The link covers about ten metres around the projector. That range lets viewers move or sit further back without losing synchronisation. A single emitter serves every pair of glasses in the room.
The housing measures 48.9 x 14.5 x 65 millimetres and weighs 20 grams. It connects straight to the projector, with no separate power supply. Setting it up amounts to plugging it in and switching it on.
The emitter works with JVC's 3D-capable D-ILA projectors. It is required for the PK-AG3 glasses to operate, and those are sold separately. Together the two accessories make up the range's complete 3D kit.
