The U3 transmits over infrared, Bluetooth BLE and radio frequency at 433 and 315 MHz. It learns the RF codes of devices that do not use infrared and pairs with three Bluetooth peripherals at once. One handset replaces the remotes of the TV, the soundbar and the streaming box.

A macro chains several commands into a single press: switch the TV on, select the right HDMI input, open the app. Sequences are built in the mobile app, with nothing to set up on the handset itself. Air Mouse moves an on-screen cursor on compatible Bluetooth interfaces.

The 1200 mAh lithium-polymer battery lasts about fifty days between charges. Charging goes through the USB-C port, or through the dock sold separately. The screen lights up as soon as the remote is picked up.

The 2.4-inch LCD screen lists the paired devices and the saved macros, readable in a dark room. The body measures 223 by 51.5 by 16.2 millimetres and weighs 143 grams. Google built-in voice works with the Bluetooth devices that support it.
