The Altitude32 comes in four versions, with 8, 16, 24 or 32 balanced analogue outputs on DB25. The +4 option, free on every Altitude32, adds four AES/EBU outputs, so the 32-channel version handles 36 channels. An 8-channel processor can later be upgraded to 16, 24 or 32 channels, and the Altitude48 extension takes the system to 48 channels.
Dolby Atmos is decoded natively, with upmixing, up to 34 discrete channels, which covers the full 24.x.10 channel count of the Atmos Home format. DTS:X Pro goes up to 30.2, Auro-3D and Auromatic to 13.1, and the unit is IMAX Enhanced certified. A full input and output matrix and 29 presets adapt to any speaker layout.
Calculations run in 64-bit floating point. Up to 24 channels, processing stays native at 192 kHz; beyond that it drops to 96 kHz, then to 48 kHz above 32 channels. The 24-bit / 192 kHz D/A converters achieve an A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio of 115 dB, and audio and processing each have their own power supply.
Eight HDMI 2.1 inputs and two outputs handle 40 Gbps, up to 4K 120 Hz or 8K 60 Hz, with eARC on output 1. On the audio side, two AES3 inputs on XLR, compliant with DCI, sit alongside two stereo XLR inputs, three RCA pairs and a 7.1 RCA input. The 3.5U chassis weighs 14.5 kg, with rack ears supplied.
