The AltitudeCI 8 decodes to 8 output channels, and its 8 balanced analogue outputs on DB25 are enough to feed all of them without going through the network. Layouts range from 2.0 stereo backed by several subwoofers up to full 7.1. These outputs reach +18 dBu with 115 dB of A-weighted dynamic range, and connect to the amplifiers already in place.
The entry model gets no cut-down processing. Optimizer, WaveForming and Remapping are included on every AltitudeCI and run at full resolution on each channel. The 3D measurement microphone plugs into the Ethercon input, which also powers it, and calibration then proceeds step by step. Only the recent Ethercon 3D microphone is recognised, not older Trinnov microphones.
The same chassis serves every model from 8 to 32 channels. Extra channels can be unlocked later by software licence, two at a time, without changing the unit. A stereo installation can therefore move to 7.1, then to an immersive format once the room gets more speakers. Software updates remain free of charge.
Four HDMI 2.1 inputs and two outputs with HDCP 2.3 handle 40 Gbps on every socket. Video passes through at up to 4K120 in 4:4:4 or 8K60 in 4:2:0, with HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG. VRR and ALLM stay active for games consoles, and eARC sends the television's sound back to the processor.
