16‑channel home‑theater preamplifier from the Arcam Radia series. 16 balanced XLR outputs, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro‑3D, IMAX Enhanced, and Matrix Channel Assignment.

The AVP45 decodes up to 16 channels simultaneously in Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, and Auro-3D — bringing together the four current immersive standards in a single processor. Reassignable channels cover all positions, including subwoofer channels on 4 and 11–16. With 16 outputs available, a 9.4.2 or 7.1.6 height configuration is fully handled without an external unit. Standby power consumption is just 35 W for a processor of this caliber.
The AVP45 features 16 balanced XLR outputs with a peak level of 5 V RMS per channel — two and a half times higher than the standard 2 V RMS RCA outputs. Over long cable runs connecting a processor to power amplifiers in a rack, the balanced connection reduces induced interference by 40–60 dB compared to unbalanced. 16 RCA outputs are also provided for full compatibility with any external amplifier.
Matrix Channel Assignment allows routing any of the 16 decoding channels to any of the 16 outputs, except subwoofer channels. An evolving system — adding height speakers, replacing a multichannel amplifier — reconfigures logically without touching the cabling. The AVP45 pairs natively with the ARCAM PA9 Class G power amplifier for a fully matching brand ecosystem.
Dirac Live Active Room Treatment is integrated: room measurement via supplied microphone, bass control, and active room treatment coordinated across all channels simultaneously. For streaming, the AVP45 is Roon Ready and supports AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect, with UPnP and internet radio via the ARCAM Radia app. Digital signal handling is up to 24-bit / 192 kHz on all inputs.
