Grained trim, ready to paint

The trim ring is grained to take the ceiling's own paint, and Cabasse supplies it in a matt finish. A glossy white circle shows up in a painted ceiling; a matt grain that accepts the same paint as the rest disappears. What is sold here is the adapter alone, compatible with Eole 3 and Eole 4: the satellite is not included.

Semi-recessed in the ceiling

Cabasse describes the mounting as semi-recessed: the 13 cm sphere stays visible below the ceiling, and only part of it disappears into the cut-out. That is what separates this adapter from an ordinary ceiling speaker, whose grille sits flush with the surface. The cut-out diameter is not published by Cabasse: ask for it before drilling.
