The Guardian2 AGP7 sits between the amplifier and the speakers, usually behind the amplifier in the AV rack, never inside a wall or ceiling. It continuously monitors RMS voltage, to prevent overheating, and brief peaks that could exceed the driver's mechanical limits. Above the threshold, the signal is attenuated at once, then restored when everything is safe again.
The threshold is set at the factory and cannot be changed, so there is no way to misconfigure it on site. Amina specifies it for Mobius7i, Edge7i and Sapphire375, the 75 W models in the range. Each channel protects one speaker, never a group wired in series or in parallel.
