The NQ Edge associates a preamplifier and a network drive in a single chassis. The distortion rate remains below 0.0008% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz for an output of 1 VRMS, on analog sources like on the converter. The signal / noise ratio exceeds 103 dB and the crosstalk descends below -1 dB to 1 kHz.

The frequency response holds in a 20 Hz window to 20 kHz at more or less 0.1 dB. The preamp output reaches 6 VRMS in asymmetric, or 6 VRMS by symmetrical. Fixed line mode turns off from the Edge application for iOS and Android, which allows you to attack an integrated amplifier via XLR or RCA.

The USB Audio input in Class 2.0 accepts the PCM up to 24 bits / 384 kHz and the DSD256. The Toslink entrance manages 16/24 bits from 32 to 96 kHz, the Coaxial S / PDIF goes up to 192 kHz. The network goes through Ethernet 10/100 or Wi-Fi 802.11 B / G / N, with UPnP, chromecast built-in and Roon Ready compatibility.

Bluetooth 4.1 supports SBC, AAC, APTX and APTX HD formats. A USB input limited to 1 bedtow Fat32, NTFS, HFS and HFS + media. The maximum consumption reaches 100 W and go down under 0.5 W in standby. The device measures 460 x 405 mm for 120 mm high and weighs 10.2 kg.
