The volume setting takes the design of the preamplifier STATEMENT S1: Reed Relays switch a network of through resistors instead of a potentiometer. This principle allows the setting of the sensitivity of each input as well as the attachment of a maximum listening level. The volume wheel is mounted on ball bearing, and the brightness of the logo is adjustable.
The eight entrance jacks combine two 100 kΩ-loaded XLR pairs, a 8-pin DIN, two 5-pin DIN and three RCA 47 kΩ pairs, provided for 2.2 V typical 2.5 VRMS. Each facade button can be assigned to the entrance of your choice. The 8-pin DIN jack delivers an ± 18V power supply for an external phono stage such as NVC TT. The outputs are lined, in symmetrical XLR and RCA, 10 VRMS.
The 6.35 mm jack in front is powered by a 1.5 W class A headphone amplifier under 16 Ω. Eight buttons cover the day before, the shutdown of the sound and the choice of entrances, in addition to the volume wheel. The bidirectional zigbee remote control doubles the application Focal & Naim, while a wireless link connects the device to the Streamer NSS 333. An optical command also synchronizes a New Classic amplifier such as NAP 350.
On the line entry, the distortion is announced at 0.0025% to 1 kHz and from 0.015% to 20 kHz, for 2.2 V input and a volume to 0 dB. The bandwidth covers 3 Hz to 40 kHz at -3 dB, the crosstalk reaches 90 dB to 1 kHz and the maximum gain is 15.5 dB. The device measures 43.2 × 31.75 × 9.15 cm for 11 kg and consumes 20 W in common use. The NPX 300 external power supply can be added afterwards.
