The Hegel P20 offers an affordable entry point into the brand’s Reference line. Many of its design elements are inherited from its bigger brother: a spacious soundstage, deep and rhythmic bass, and precise timing. It recreates the sensation of being right there alongside the musicians.

The P20 features five inputs—both balanced and unbalanced—as well as a Home Theater input for integration into a multichannel system. On the output side, it offers balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections, complemented by a fixed-level recording output.

The preamplifier is the most delicate component in a system, as signal levels are very low. The P20 boasts a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 130 dB in balanced mode and distortion of less than 0.005%. Even the finest details of the music are preserved.

The P20 comes with a system remote control milled from a solid block of aluminum, featuring a micro-bead-blasted and anodized finish identical to that of the unit itself. Its design incorporates silicon-germanium transistors and high-frequency components used in a way never before seen in audio. You can see the quality of each component just as clearly as you can hear it.
