The M28 delivers at least 200 W into 8 ohms and 340 W into 4 ohms on each of its seven channels, all driven at the same time. With the same power everywhere, busy soundtracks stay easy to follow: dialogue stays clear, while effects and ambience are placed precisely in the scene. A fast action sequence or a dense film score keeps every element distinct.
Beyond its continuous power, the M28 has a large dynamic reserve, with 560 W of IHF dynamic power into 4 ohms on one channel. Explosions keep their weight and scale, while quiet passages such as dialogue or background sounds stay clear. The contrast between the two preserves the full emotional range of films and music.
The M28 uses Purifi Eigentakt amplification, made by NAD under licence, which brings distortion down to 0.003 % or less and noise to a very low level. Unlike most Class D amplifiers, it is unaffected by the speaker load and keeps a wide, even bandwidth whatever the impedance. If driven into clipping, Eigentakt behaves like a good Class A/B amplifier, with instant recovery.
Each channel has a balanced XLR input and an unbalanced RCA input, compatible with a wide range of processors, plus high-quality speaker terminals. Locking balanced connectors allow long cable runs without picking up noise. Compact and energy-efficient, the M28 fits into a rack or a custom installation without excess heat, with a standby consumption of 0.5 W or less.
