Product Details

Silent direct drive

The TD 403 DD runs on a stable, very quiet direct drive, with no belt in between. The motor holds the speed precisely and is ready to play out of the box. This direct base removes belt noise and keeps the tempo.

1.4 kg die-cast platter

The die-cast aluminium platter weighs 1.4 kg and is 22 mm thick. Its mass and stiffness steady the rotation and lower resonances. This heavy platter gives the TD 403 DD a footing rarely found in a plug-and-play deck.

Adjustable TP 150 arm

The TP 150 arm, with an effective mass of 14 grams, adjusts for height (VTA) and azimuth. Its standard SME connector lets you swap headshell and cartridge in a few moves. Anti-skating works through a movable weight over a low-friction ruby bearing. An Ortofon 2M Blue with a nude elliptical diamond arrives mounted and set.

Two gloss finishes

The chassis measures 420 x 360 x 136 mm at 7.2 kg. The TD 403 DD comes in gloss black and gloss walnut. The quality of its arm and platter opens the way to more ambitious cartridges.
