Turntable from above, sub-chassis and platter

High-precision direct drive

The TD 124 DD revives one of Thorens' most legendary decks, born in 1957 in radio studios. In place of the original idler and belt, it uses a High-Precision direct drive with strong torque, which sets the speed precisely and keeps motor vibration off the platter. The height-adjustable aluminium chassis rests on damping rubber elements.

TP 124 arm and electric lift

The TP 124 arm adjusts in every parameter to match the chosen cartridge. Its ruby-bearing anti-skating and patented electric arm lift set down and raise the stylus gently. The supplied SME-type headshell changes easily.

Supplied with the SPU TD 124 cartridge

This version ships with the Thorens SPU TD 124, a moving-coil SPU developed with Ortofon specifically for the TD 124 DD. A heavier counterweight matched to the SPU is also included. The set is ready for high-end playback.

XLR outputs and external supply

A high-quality external power supply provides interference-free power. Balanced XLR outputs join the RCA, for optimal transmission to a suitable phono preamp. The chassis measures 425 x 350 x 185 mm at 14 kg, in black.
