We set out to build the finest phono stage there is, without compromise, so that the emotion captured in the studio reaches your living room intact.

The audio circuit rests on a five-point gel-based floating suspension, derived from the M-Octave technology developed for the 850P preamplifier. Vibration passed on by the furniture no longer reaches the electronics. The phono signal, the weakest in the chain, is the first to benefit.
Each integrated circuit in the audio path has its own DC filtering choke, twenty-four stages in all. Signal-to-noise ratio reaches 115 dBr at 40 dB of gain and 95 dBr at 70 dB. Crosstalk falls to -106 dB at 1 kHz.
A pair of XLR inputs and a pair of RCA inputs are available. Input overload accepts 200 millivolts RMS balanced and 100 unbalanced at 40 dB of gain. Output impedance is 50 ohms.
The capacitors are metallised polypropylene film types, selected to 1 % tolerance. Total harmonic distortion is limited to 0.0008 % across the band. The unit accepts the 820S external power supply.
