Sixty-four loading settings

The 610LP offers 64 load impedance settings, from 12.1 ohms to 47 kilohms. Sixteen capacitance values are added, from 0 to 1120 picofarads. No cartridge stays out of reach of these settings.

Sixteen gain settings

Gain is set over sixteen positions, from 40 to 70 dB. The equalisation curve is chosen between RIAA and IEC. These settings cover moving-magnet as well as moving-coil cartridges, including the lowest-output ones.

Filtering over twenty-four stages

After the regulation stages, an i2DCf inductive filter acts on the direct current. One choke is dedicated to each integrated circuit in the audio path, twenty-four stages in all. The noise floor drops accordingly, which counts on a phono signal.

Components and external supply

The capacitors are metallised polypropylene, selected to 1 % tolerance. The unit accepts the optional 820S external power supply. Its contribution is heard above all on the quietest passages.
