Input impedance is set to 47 kilohms, 475, 100 or 10 ohms. Capacitance follows with four values, from 0 to 430 picofarads. These settings are made by the user, without technical intervention.
Gain is adjusted to 40, 50, 54, 60 or 66 dB. The range covers moving-magnet as well as moving-coil cartridges. An IEC or RIAA curve is also selected on the rear panel.
The power supply uses inductive DC filtering that lowers the noise floor markedly. Signal-to-noise ratio reaches 104 dB at 40 dB of gain. Total harmonic distortion stays at 0.002 % from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
The all-aluminium case measures 12.7 centimetres wide by 16.5 deep and weighs 1.5 kilos. The RCA sockets are gold-plated. The unit is designed to stay powered permanently, which keeps its performance stable.
