The StageLine MC is the version of Naim's outboard phono stage designed for moving coil cartridges. It takes the turntable signal on a pair of RCA inputs and amplifies it before the preamplifier or integrated amplifier. Naim quotes a gain of 60 dB at 1 kHz for the K and S versions and 35 dB for the N version.
The StageLine needs 24 V from a Naim component: NaimUniti 2, NAIT XS 2 or XS 3, SUPERNAIT 2 or 3, Hi-Cap DR, or a Naim preamplifier other than the NAC-N 172 XS and NAC-N 272. The dedicated FlatCap XS, HiCap and SuperCap power supplies are also suitable. The case measures 121 mm wide, 187 mm deep and 57 mm high.
